Social Cycle Spin Club Inc. (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the http://www.socialcycle.ca website and the Social Cycle Spin Club mobile application (the “Service”).
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, accessible from http://www.socialcycle.ca.
INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.
TYPES OF DATA COLLECTED
Personal Data
While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

Health and Fitness Data — Health Connect by Android
The Social Cycle Spin Club mobile application offers an optional wearable workout metrics feature that integrates with Health Connect by Android (“Health Connect”).
When a user chooses to connect Health Connect and grants the required permissions, the Social Cycle Spin Club application may read the following information from Health Connect:
Heart rate
Active calories
This information is used solely to provide the user-facing wearable workout metrics feature. These workout metrics may be displayed within the Social Cycle Spin Club application in areas such as reservation details, reservation history, and the stats page.
The Social Cycle Spin Club application only reads heart rate and active calorie information from Health Connect. The application does not write data to Health Connect.
Health Connect data is processed locally on the user’s device, displayed within the application as part of the wearable workout metrics feature, and then discarded.
Health Connect data is not transmitted to, received by, or stored by Social Cycle Spin Club Inc. or Mariana Tek.
Health Connect data is not included in analytics and is not sold or used for advertising, targeted advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the wearable workout metrics feature.
Access to Health Connect is optional and requires the user’s permission. The Social Cycle Spin Club application requests only the Health Connect permissions necessary to provide this user-facing fitness functionality.
Users may grant, deny, or revoke Health Connect permissions at any time through their Android device and Health Connect settings.
Revoking Health Connect access may prevent the wearable workout metrics feature from functioning but does not prevent the user from accessing other available features of the Social Cycle Spin Club application.
Because Health Connect data is processed locally on the user’s device and is not transmitted to or stored by Social Cycle Spin Club Inc. or Mariana Tek, Social Cycle Spin Club Inc. does not maintain a separate stored copy of this Health Connect data. Users may manage their Health Connect permissions and health information through Health Connect on their Android device.
Usage Data
We may also collect information about how the Service is accessed and used (“Usage Data”). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
TRACKING & COOKIES DATA
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information.
Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used include beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service.

Health Connect information is accessed and used only as described in the “Health and Fitness Data — Health Connect by Android” section of this Privacy Policy.
TRANSFER OF DATA
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside Canada and choose to provide information to us, please note that we may transfer data, including Personal Data, to Canada and process it there.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.
Social Cycle Spin Club Inc. will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless appropriate controls are in place, including the security of your data and other personal information.
Health Connect information is handled separately as described in the “Health and Fitness Data — Health Connect by Android” section above.
DISCLOSURE OF DATA
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
Social Cycle Spin Club Inc. may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

Protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public

SECURITY OF DATA
The security of your data is important to us. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Health Connect information is processed locally on the user’s device and is handled as described in the “Health and Fitness Data — Health Connect by Android” section above.
DATA RETENTION
Social Cycle Spin Club Inc. will retain your Personal Data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, including providing and maintaining the Service, fulfilling legitimate business and operational needs, and complying with applicable legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory requirements.
An account will generally remain active while a customer continues to visit, book, purchase, or otherwise use Social Cycle Spin Club services.
If a customer has not visited, booked, or otherwise actively used Social Cycle Spin Club services for a period of 12 consecutive months, the account may be classified as inactive.
Personal Data associated with an inactive account that is no longer reasonably required will be deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of, subject to any information that Social Cycle Spin Club Inc. or its service providers are required or permitted to retain for legal, regulatory, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or other legitimate business purposes.
Where information must be retained after an account becomes inactive, it will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose or required retention period.
Usage Data may be retained for internal analysis and security purposes.
Health Connect information is not retained by Social Cycle Spin Club Inc. and is handled as described in the “Health and Fitness Data — Health Connect by Android” section above.
When Personal Data is no longer required for these purposes, we will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.
DATA DELETION
You may request deletion of your Personal Data by contacting Social Cycle Spin Club Inc. at mailto:info@socialcycle.ca.
Upon receiving a deletion request, we may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
We will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize the Personal Data associated with your account, subject to any information that we are required or permitted to retain for legal, regulatory, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or other legitimate business purposes.
Where applicable, deleting certain information may affect your ability to access or use some or all features of the Service.
Health Connect information is not stored by Social Cycle Spin Club Inc. Users may revoke the Social Cycle Spin Club application’s access to Health Connect and manage their Health Connect information through the Health Connect settings on their Android device.
SERVICE PROVIDERS
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Health Connect information is not transmitted to Social Cycle Spin Club Inc., Mariana Tek, analytics providers, or other third parties and is handled as described in the “Health and Fitness Data — Health Connect by Android” section above.
ANALYTICS
We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.
Health Connect data is not provided to Google Analytics and is not used for analytics, advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.
You can opt-out of having your activity on the Service made available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visit activity.

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
